For 32 years, shoppers at The Peddler Show have enjoyed a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, a unique marketplace that promises something new each visit. This year’s Peddler Show will make its stop at the Arlington Convention Center this weekend, from Friday, November 20th thru Sunday, November 22nd. The variety of vendors provide a vast selection of items including personalized designs, home décor, clothing, hand-crafted jewelry, and gourmet treats.

So if you want to get a head-start on holiday shopping but don’t want to walk around a mall or department store, head to the Arlington Convention Center for the Peddler Show.

Dates/Hours: Friday, Nov 20th: 1pm-8pm
Saturday, Nov 21st: 9am-6pm
Sunday, Nov 22nd: 11am-4pm

Admission: $6 Adults; $4 Seniors (65+); Kids Under 12 Free

Your admission is good all weekend, so just pay once and come back each day! And parking is free.

There is a Sneak Peek on Friday from 12pm-1pm for a $10 admission. Stroller-free, please. There’s also a ‘Holiday Happy Hour’ in which shoppers receive Free Admission from 11am-1pm on Sunday only.

Please be aware that on Sunday afternoon at 12pm the Dallas Cowboys will play a home game at Cowboys Stadium which is less than one mile from The Arlington Convention Center. Expect heavy traffic prior to the 12pm kickoff. The game will conclude at approximately 3pm and there will be heavy traffic exiting the stadium. The stadium traffic could effect your drive to-and-from The Peddler Show on Sunday, depending on what time you attend the event.

Area High School Football Playoff Games

The second round of Area high school football playoff games continue this weekend with some of the top matchups taking place at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The primetime matchup on Saturday night features two marquee teams: Southlake Carroll and Allen. The 5pm game on Saturday features Euless Trinity which scored 88 points in their bi-district win at Cowboys Stadium last weekend.

Friday night at 7:30pm, the Aledo Bearcats and Stephenville Yellowjackets square-off in Division II, Region I playoffs in Class 4A.

Saturday features a quadruple-header of Class 5A teams with games at 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm. Coppell and Plano East start off the day at 11am; Flowed Mound Marcus takes on top-ranked Cedar Hill at 2pm; Euless Trinity tees it up with the Plano Wildcats at 5pm; and perennial powerhouse Southlake Carroll Dragons and the high-flying Allen Eagles take the field at 8pm.

Here’s the complete schedule for Friday and Saturday, November 20-21 at Cowboys Stadium:

All tickets are $12 at Cowboys Stadium on gameday, but the participating schools are offering tickets in advance for $10 adult and $8 students. But if you buy on gameday at the stadium, it will be $12.

Parking is $10 at Cowboys Stadium for the high school games.

Tickets to the 2010 NBA All-Game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington sold quickly over the summer, but Baseline Plaza Tickets (“Party Passes”) are on-sale to the general public beginning Tuesday, November 17th at 10am central.

The Baseline Plaza Tickets are standing-room-only tickets which allow access to three platform deck for either the East or West end zones overlooking the court at Cowboys Stadium. There is no assigned seat for this ticket; it is standing-room-only the same way the “Party Passes” are standing-room-only on the platform decks for Dallas Cowboys games. Children 2 years and older require a ticket.

The Baseline Plaza Tickets are only $30 each and are available at the Cowboys Stadium Ticket Office; the American Airlines Center Ticket Office (home arena of the Dallas Mavericks); all Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com; or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX. Tickets purchased will be shipped at a later date, on or around December 1, 2009.

If you missed the first round of All-Star Game tickets which were sold this past summer, you can still buy a Baseline Plaza Ticket to joing the action. The 59th NBA All-Star Game will tip-off at 7pm on Sunday, February 14th (that’s right, Valentine’s Day) and more than 80,000 fans are expected to attend the game. Symphony Arlington presents “Bon Voyage”, featuring Handel’s Water Music and Brahms’ Concerto for Violin, Cello and Orchestra in A Minor, Op. 102. The performance begins at 8pm on Thursday, November 19th at The Metro Center.

The Dallas Cowboys host their NFC East rival Washington Redskins on Sunday, November 22nd at 12pm. “Party Passes” for $29 are currently on-sale through the Cowboys Stadium Ticket Office as well as Ticketmaster. “Party Passes” are standing-room-only; there is no designated seat/chair in the designated Party Decks in the East and West end zones.
