A new, fun way to enjoy so much more than pizza. Easy-to-find, on Lamar a block west of 360.
This ain’t your run-of-the-mill pizza parlor. Boston’s is definitely gourmet pizza, but so much more. In additional to traditional Italian fare of pizzas and pasta, the menu includes sirloins and ribs fancy salads and burgers/sandwiches and seafood.
Yes, your pizza is going to cost more than if you eat the buffet at CiCi’s. But you get what you pay for. And considering the quality and variety of Boston’s, I think the prices are reasonable. Small pizzas start at $8.29 and go up to large sizes that range from $18.49 to $21.99. We had leftovers from our large pizza which we boxed up and took back to our hotel room. We ordered the Thai Chicken Pizza (very good!).
Here’s an idea of the variety of gourmet pizzas: Bacon Double Cheeseburger (very popular, according to our waitress); Chicken DaVinci (chicken, artichokes, fontina & parmesan cheeses); The Flying Buffalo (buffalo wing sauce, chicken); The Hawaiian; Sicilian; Thai Chicken.
If you’re not adventurous, you can obviously order traditional stuff like the Meat Lovers or Cheese or just top your pizza by ordering by-the-ingredient. There are also Calzones ($8.49). If you like the Neopolitan-style pizza, it’s on handmade crust, size 10”, and ranges in price from $8.79 to $10.29 depending on toppings.
The gourmet pastas include Shrimp/Salmon Alfredo ($13.99), Lasagna ($12.29) and Jambalaya Fettucini ($13.99).
The entrees include Salmon ($14.99), Baby-Back Ribs ($20.00, full-rack) and Sirloin.
In addition to the big variety of pizzas, I was really intrigued by all the appetizers, including a new Mediterranean fondue. “Starters” also included buffalo bites (not real buffalo, like buffalo wing-flavored chicken bites), crunchy green beans in ranch dip, ravioli, and spinach/artichoke dip.
Boston’s has lunch specials, too, that range in price from $6.79 to $13.99.
I was very impressed with the variety of salads. There’s a Chipotle Chicken salad ($9.99) and a Salmon Caesar Salad ($12.49).
The location is very close to Six Flags (just across I-30, half-mile north of the park). In fact, you can look out the front window of the restaurant and clearly see the Batman Ride and the bungee ride. Boston’s is easy-to-find; it’s on Lamar, a half-block west of 360.
There’s a bar area that’s decorated with a sports-theme, but Boston’s is not a sports bar. The dining area is nice-casual. The wait-staff was very good—excellent service and good suggestions regarding the menu.
Boston’s is also great for late-nights. It’s open until 2am Monday thru Saturday nights, and open until 1am on Sunday nights.
