The rides/attractions at Hurricane Harbor are divided into 3 categories: Thrill Rides, Kids’ Rides, and Family Rides.

For example, Sea Wolf is the fastest and tallest water slide of its kind. It’s definitely a thrill ride. Family-friendly Hook’s Lagoon is perfect for the smaller kids who can get drenched, while floating along the Lazy River is relaxing for water-lovers of all ages.

The Black Hole is a dark ride on either of two 500-ft long tentacle tubes. The Tornado takes you seven stores above the ground…and you ride in groups of 4 on a raft that plummets you down a tunnel and into a giant funnel with a 60-ft diameter. Sounds scary, but it’s fun…depending on your appetite for adventure! The Mega Wedgie is aptly named, that’s for sure, but it’s only four stories high. Smaller kids may prefer the Bonzai Boggans or riding in a group in the Bubba Tubs.

If hurling yourself down a waterslide at umpteen miles an hour isn’t your idea of fun, there’s always Sun Tan Lagoon which includes a million-gallon activity pool (fountains & waterfalls & geysers) and a carpeted sun-tanning deck.

Standing-room-only “Party Passes” are now available as season tickets.

“2010 Party Pass Season Tickets”
Price: $199
Cowboys Stadium

http://www.dallascowboys.com/partypass/

The Dallas Cowboys have announced the sale of season “Party Pass” tickets priced at just $199 for the 2010 season which includes entry to all 10 home games at Cowboys Stadium, 8 regular season and 2 preseason games.

Party Pass tickets are standing-room-only and do NOT provide fans with a seat, but Party Passes do allow fans to move about the three levels of party decks and open spaces in the main concourses. Party Passes also give fans a chance to enjoy pre-game festivities in the plazas outside Cowboys Stadium. Standing room viewing along the party deck rails is on a first come, first served basis. Large video screens with live broadcasts of the game are on the plazas just outside the party decks, as well as the ends of the center hung digital scoreboard which is suspended above the playing field.

When Party Passes were sold last year during the team’s inaugural 2009 season at Cowboys Stadium, the passes were not available on a season-long basis. In fact, the passes were sold to individual games at $29 per game, and not made available until a few weeks before each game. So this new season ticket package not only offers savings (an average of $19.99 per game instead of $29), it also offers fans a chance to secure passes for the entire season without having to purchase passes to individual games.

The Party Pass season tickets are on sale now through DallasCowboys.com which will link you to a Ticketmaster site. Click here to link to on-line purchases: http://www.dallascowboys.com/partypass/

If you purchase your tickets on-line, you must decide if you want “East Plaza Stadium Entry” or “West Plaza Stadium Entry”. So if you’re planning on purchasing tickets along with buddies or family and you buy separately, make sure you all choose East or West. There isn’t any back-and-forth once you arrive on-site during game days.

Cowboys Stadium has a Web site (http://stadium.dallascowboys.com) has a Frequently Asked Questions” section regarding Party Passes. Here’s a sampling of the FAQ’s:

Q: What’s the view like for fans with Party Passes?

A: Several thousand people will see the field from the rails on each level and the world’s largest center-hung video board. Two 48-foot wide boards on each edge of the center-hung board will face Party Pass fans, enhancing their gameday experience. In addition, there are flat-screen TVs throughout the party decks as well as outdoor video boards.

Q: What’s included with the Party Pass?

A: The Party Pass includes access to 6 giant party decks (3 on the East Side, 3 on the West side…you will choose East or West when you purchase on-line), public concourses, concession areas, and over 7 acres of outdoor plaza space. Fans will experience the sights, sounds and energy of a live Dallas Cowboys game, including views of the world’s largest center-hung scoreboard, the outdoor video boards, and live music in the plazas in pregame and postgame activities.

The game is the season opener for both TCU and Oregon State, matching two of the top teams from the Mountain West Conference and the Pac-10 Conference.

The Labor Day Weekend contest marks the second straight year a Mountain West team has opened the season at Cowboys Stadium. Last year, BYU up-ended Oklahoma in the inaugural Cowboys Classic, knocking off the Sooners, 14-13.

The Cowboys Classic is the first-ever meeting between the Horned Frogs and Oregon State. TCU is coming off a stellar 12-1 season that concluded with a trip to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. The Frogs enter the 2010 campaign ranked No. 6 in ESPN’s College Football Live Pre-Season Poll.

Oregon State finished last year with an 8-5 record, and came one win away from a trip to the Rose Bowl. The Beavers are led by the Rodgers brothers, Jacquizz and James, both from Richmond, Texas.

Kickoff for the Cowboys Classic has not been formally set, but the game is expected to be played in prime time (tentative start time at 6:45pm, but check back at later date to confirm time).
